Hey guys!

I arrived to the US on 11/01/10. I haven't applied to any jobs yet but plan on doing so very soon. I have a Marketing degree, which I am aware it isn't much, but is better than nothing. I am feeling a little intimidated and unsure on how to go around applying for jobs. I am 100% bilingual in Spanish and English, I am competent in French, and graduated with 3.47 GPA. My main goal is to find a job in any area related to Marketing and/or Advertising, even if it's entry-level.

Now, would I have to have my degree evaluated by any agency? If I apply for a job, would they want to see that evaluation? Or my original diploma would be enough?

If anyone out there can give me any tips/ideas/help I would appreciate it enormously.

If you have a bachelor's degree, there is usually no need for any evaluation... the degree itself is good. If you have a different sort of degree (like an associates), then I would put "university coursework" on the resume. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

I am a Bachelor Degree + Master Degree in Electronic Engineering. I got them in Italy.

Don't I need to any evaluation too?

THX!

Oh! I can't believe this a question to me! lol

I don't know every field, so I can't make any guarantees, but I wouldn't think so.

If a specific company or school wants an evaluation, then go ahead and comply, but I wouldn't get an evaluation unless specifically asked, because it's usually not needed.

Good luck.

In my field to be able to get a license I had to present my transcripts in US standards (graded using A.B.C.D) and it has to be noted as an accredited university. I used World Education Services and paid about $200. I had no problems with them! It will definitely be useful to have it evaluated. :)
