While I don't want the gov't telling me what to buy.... they should certainly have control over how I spend public money given for food.

It's crazy that under the food-stamp system a family of 3 could spend all $400 a month of potato chips and Mt Dew.

There are restrictions on how WIC can be spent-why not food stamps?

The Feds shouldn't be paying for anything. This is a state matter and if my state even wants to pay for the poorer kids lunches than we will. The Feds have no reason to be even intruding on state matters.

Fed will mandate it to the state. Your property tax will pay for it in the end.
