lvasquez - I am with you about the guilty until proven innocent thing. Some folks gave me the cold shoulder for making that analogy because the letter of the law reads or implies that the immigration process is about eligibility. However, I beg to differ. Well, in the meantime, I'll be hanging around here learning, sharing, laughing, kicking, and screaming until my Baby is here. Then I'll be doing that in another venue. LOL! See ya around cyberspace...

I've learned I'm not psychic.

Last night I had a dream that Gary and Luz got their NOA2. (yes, I am clearly spending too much time on VJ? ) I expected to log in this morning and see the news, but I guess my dreams have no bearing on reality!

It is amazing the friends I have made here!! Thank you so much for your good thoughts! I believe in Karma and all of you have send it to me by the truckload! I can see that even after Luz and I are together I will still come back here to stay connected to all the wonderful people that I have met. You guys are simply AMAZING!!

Hang in there! It will come for all of us soon!

I have learned that true love does not fade with distance. Instead it can allow you to grow closer together. This process has helped us realize how hard being apart can be. This has inspired us to never let it happen again once we finally start our lives together.

Wolf, everyone sympathizes with your situation. I have been apart from my Fiance for over a year now, after living together for 3, a circumstance beyond my control.

You should accept your situation and do the best you can to wait it out.

I try humor, complaining about the process and so forth. I also spend over $500 on the phone. It's all good, as I will do whatever it takes to get my sweetheart over here.

We all suffer being apart from our better half.

No, that wasnt a complaint william. That was positive. Yeah, we dont want this again. But the distance we have to endure right now has brought us closer. It has helped build a wonderful, solid foundation. Its all good...

Yeah, I see that now. I don't see things in a positive way anymore, until my Fiance is here. I need to work on that.

This debacle is not in the name of Homeland Security. IMBRA is entirely about another issue. Marriage Brokers, companies arranging marriages for a fee.

If this were a DHS initiative, you would have seen these delays 5 years ago.

This is a simple case of incompetence at the processing centers. New law, no plan for implementation.

The law was enacted on March 6 2006, USCIS response: :o

Thus, the delays and so forth. It sucks for sure, but not a DHS issue.

The IMBRA has added fuel to a fire. The perfoemance was effected aftert teh USCIS was put under DHS dept. This slowed down the process due to some extra policies. Applicants from red-flaged countries are facing lots of difficulties even during pre-IMBRA process.
