I know I have seen this before but I need help. I called NVC last night and not only had they not processed our address change they sent our documents to Italy instead of Albania. I need to transfer everything to Albania (He can't get back in Italy so is is not an option that he just goes there) and NVC just said call and tell Italy, but Italy is too busy to answer their phones and my e-mail comes back with a minimum 2 week waiting period just to get an answer to the question of how.

So, does anyone know how this works? Is there a form to fill out. This is actually the first time I've started to lose hope as I feel this has prolonged an already tedious process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Different embassies, same problem.

Nebraska Service Centre sent my file to New Zealand instead of London.

I then had to write to the London Embassy and ask them to transfer my case to London. We had requested London on the original forms but the initial reaction from London was that we had done something wrong!

They were not terribly helpful so I had to make several requests. Intially my fiance wrote to them, but they said the request had to now come from me. So I then wrote to them as well - I sent both emails and written letters. I then had to send a copy of my British passport because they requested proof I could live in the UK! I also copied the NZ Embassy on all this correspondence.

When the London Embassy finally agreed to take my case they then told me I had to contact Auckland to tell them and get a tracking number! Luckily I was able to do that but unfortunately this whole debacle probably added 2 months to our application. Also then having a NZ case number seemed to confuse the London staff at every possibility.

I would recommend being as proactive as possible - send them a copy of your form (sorry can't remember the number) where you make the embassy request, passport copies, whatever is necessary for your case and I would recommend emailing and sending a letter in the mail to both embassies.

Good luck!
