does the NVC email the interview date?

for IR/CR-1 visa, yes. For K1, you can schedule the interview online.

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)

October 23, 2010 - WEDDING DAY!!

March 18-28, 2011 - hubby's visit to Philippines for his bday (2nd bday together)

USCIS Stage - 136 days for USCIS journey

December 2, 2010 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

December 6, 2010 - I-130 received!! yay!!

December 13, 2010 - NOA1 text message received!

December 16, 2010 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

April 28, 2011 - NOA2!!! Thank you LORD!

NVC Stage - 21 days for NVC journey

May 2, 2011 - NOA2 hard copy received in the mail; NVC received our case

May 6, 2011 - Case number and IIN ; DS3230 sent by beneficiary through email to NVC

May 10, 2011 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

May 13, 2011 - IV bill generated and paid

May 16, 2011 - IV bill shows "PAID" ; AOS and DS230 packets sent to NVC

May 18, 2011 - NVC received both packets

May 19, 2011 - Medical exam - PASSED!!! :)

does the NVC email the interview date?

For Thailand, the Embassy sets the interview date and it is supposed to email you. The Embassy also lists visa interview appointments on its website. It's necessary to look for both signs, since the email alert is not always reliable.

Look at the US Embassy website for the country you are working with, under Immigrant Visas - that will tell you their procedure for visa interview appointments.

I just asked NVC who told me for Cr1's NVC schedules the appointments for my country and the embassy schedules the appointments for K1's. The best place to get the info is from NVC. The Nigeria embassy website does not distinguish the procedure for the Cr1's and the k1's thus causes confusion. So I suggest just giving NVC a call and asking them if they schedule the appointments for your embassy or is it the embassy

I was telling Philip that I was a Senior member.. oh yeah!

My husband and I filed our K-1 visa in February 2010, and we are now on our CR-1 visa. What does that make us? Double platinum maybe lol

His medical exam is scheduled for June 23, and the Embassy received all of his packets from NVC on June 7, so after the medical, hopefully we get an interview soon. I was hoping for July, but that is doubtful. We got married August 8, 2010 so I was really hoping he would be here by our anniversary, but not looking good.

How is everyone else's timeline going?
