Its not like the USCIS sets out to discriminate against certain types of applications. As we've read in countless other postings, they play catch up with all of us at some point. They are not stupid enough to set themselves up for a potential lawsuit. During the months when they were approving CR1 petitions the K1 people werent staging a protest asking what happened to us. We patiently waited, vented, and discussed workouts and recipes. This crab mentality of pulling each other down to try and get out first is not going to do anyone any good. That comment sounded like, if I cant have it, neither should you. We all have to wait our turn just like we learned in kindergarten. Congratulations to all those who've received their approvals! It gives me hope that my turn is coming soon.

Absolutely it is crazy to think that USCIS workers are purposely neglecting one group of petitioners! On other posts we have been cautioned at putting much faith in IGOR's list, and yes I admit at being one of the beneficaries who constantly checked! Clearly this is a long stressful process for all filers, no matter the type of visa applied for. On VJ there are numerous supports and suggestions for people who have been waiting past the acceptable wait time listed on the USCIS site. I truly feel that the VJ site was meant to be supportive of all filers, not a thread to lash out at people who are approved before others. Be happy for approvals and keep praying and supporting those waiting!

Wishing a speedy approval for all,

Lise

How can K1's get faster processing times than CR1? This does not sound right to me.

Raj,

Obviously you did not read the References on Post # 11 from the CR1's November Transfers. Your answer is there. That's the same category of visa as the IR-1/CR-1's & CSC is the service center this OP is fussing about. USE that instead of a different Category of Visa [K1's] for comparison.

What Gsummit was saying is that K1's didn't whine because of the CR1's that were getting processed because of the USCIS backlogs! She also said USCIS is not going to discriminate one Visa Category [ as the OP insinuated the favouring of Dec K1's over HIS own Dec I-130 ]....for another because they would be setting themselves up for lawsuit. She was refering to the OP's crab mentality of whining and putting down Dec K1's got their NOA2 and the OP has not. Like a little kid saying, "Mommy...they got one and I didn't...waaaaaahhhhhhh waaaahhhhhh" A poor attitude which WILL make the wait much longer, imho! For December Filers, Five mos from December file dates is May, is it not? USCIS states 5+ mos without promise, but estimate.

Either way, K1 FIANCE(E) VISA's are a totally DIFFERENT CATEGORY than a IR-1/ CR-1 (Immigrant Visa); WE DON'T FALL INTO THE SAME CRITERIA so waiting times may vary.

What Lise stated was Igor's is not an official list, it's only an approximation based on when VJ members fill in their timelines.

Read up Raj on the November Transfers. Our friends who were part of that whole painful wait just got their NOA2 in March, and they FILED IN AUGUST 2010~.

YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO DEMAND ANYBODY, IN ANY CATEGORY OF VISAS TO LEAVE OR TELL THEM WHERE TO POST! IN FACT YOU ARE IN SERIOUS VIOLATION OF TOS.

WELCOME TO VJ....

Just to respond to some of the earlier content here - any VJ member can post in any VJ forum. There is no such thing as forum 'privacy' or 'where you belong' on Visa Journey. This is an experiential forum where everyone can participate and contribute in all forums. K-1 filers can and will continue to be allowed to post in this forum. If you do not wish to read what they have to offer you can simply ignore their post. No one has the right to exclude them.

There really isn't a competition between K-1 and CR-1/IR-1 applicants and while it is frustrating to wait for your own approvals, I will remind everyone that each of us has gone through or is going through the same basic immigration process. Each of our own applications and situations is as important to us as another's is to them so it is a good idea to 'respect' our fellow immigration travellers, whether they are on the exact same path or not. We are all 'in the same boat' (talk about mixing metaphors!)

Besides, you never know when a current K-1 member may have already gone through a previous CR-1 process and have a wealth of information available to them, or is even an employee of USCIS and has intimate knowledge about processing situations (we have VJ members in both those circumstances). So, don't dismiss someone's ability to answer a question based upon the status of their current application. Things are not that simple.

If, on the other hand, you find a K-1 filer who is posting about their K-1 visa in the incorrect forum, then report the post using the report button so that one of the moderation team can move it to the correct location or send a PM to one of the Organizers.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I know tempers and patience to some are dwindling but we all are going to the missing and wanting to be reunited with love ones. We all should be respectful not only for the sake of others but also for ourselves. I am a day away from my 4 months from NOA1 and though I want to get approved soon and this all be a memory I still need to remember that there's so many feeling the same thing.. whether its for a spouse or other family member and whether you filed yesterday or 10 months ago.

Keep it classy <3

wow... that's too much to take for a 'just waking up' person like me,, haha,,

chill out everyone.. this is a happy thread. We don't have to argue and criticize each other. If it is your turn to be approved - great! if it is not, wait a little more. No one in here is right to question who will get approved first. You can fight and argue all you want but at the end all you can do is just WAIT. So don't let this situation get the best out of you. This thread is full of hopes and happy stories to share while we are all WAITING. Now in due respect, please...
