how come the processing dates moving backwards for CSC in Imigration Timeline for I130 (NAO1 TO NAO2)? THIS IS GETTING ME WORRIED.... FEW DAYS AGO THEY WERE SHOWING OCT 7TH 2010 AND TODAY SEP 24TH !!!! DID ANY ONE TAKES A LOOK AT THIS?

They just received a big batch of cases from the Texas processing center, so their formerly speedy pipeline is obviously going to slow down a bit. Completely expected, nothing to worry about.

Hi all! Just thought I'd jump in this thread too. I filed in November, but my Priority Date is Dec 3rd so I guess technically I belong here! I'm still waiting for any news at all, and would very much like my case # to work on the USCIS site, but right now I've got nothing except the wait!

Hi all!!

Sad today Just landed back in Australia today, leaving my husband (and my 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 guinea pigs) in Houston TX. We sent in our I-130 the beginning of December, but my VW time is up so back to Australia for me.

I know this was mentioned a while ago in this thread..but I'm only just adding to it now lol.

Our story:

Met playing online poker on the 18th January 2009, started IM and emailing then our first phone call two days later. Two months later (March 24th 2009)I flew to Houston to meet in person....not knowing at the time that I was meeting the love of my life! A few more trips (and a few thousand dollars in phone bills in between!)we were married on the 8th July 2010 - which is also my husband's birthday! Just got back from 3 wonderful months with my husband - our first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's together!

We are hoping (as you all are) for quick processing so we can get back to making a life together without having to worry about the deadline for me to go back to Australia. Oh and I am 28 and my husband is 48 - worried that this will be a red flag to immigration. Anybody else have a big age difference?

Hello VJ's. While I am trying to have everything ready for when the times comes. I went to the consulate website and they have two affidavits of support. One I864 and one I134. This is really confusing me....Thanks in advance

Jim Brown - hi and welcome. My # started working out of nowhere but I still can't figure out how to see "touches". No updates in my email box, either. Seems I can't link my email address to our case on USCIS. Oh well. All we can do is wait anyway. Hope it'll go easy on us now. To me the first month was the worst. Now it seemed to pick up.

KLS2010 - I feel you. We have a 10-year difference (this year i'll be 31 and hubby 41) and I also don't know how THEY will react.

croa01 - I noticed the other affidavit of support on my consulate's website as well. I'm not quite positive but I think someone said only I864 is needed, though....

And to everyone else: My husband is coming a week from now! I am beyond excited! We'll be getting married in church on March 5th, this time with a big reception to follow (our November civil wedding was very modest, no one there except us and his mom).

I am sooo happy right now. My dream is finally coming true. But the funny thing is, I am more excited about seeing him and being with him for that week and a half than about this whole wedding ordeal

It's easy to do. Go to the home page http://www.uscis.gov, at the lower left corner under "After I File" it says "Sign-up for Case Updates". Then click "Register as an applicant customer". Click "Accept". Fill in all the requested personal information and click "Submit". This is step one - creating your account. Now you need to do Step 2, which is linking your account to your case. To do that, go to "My Account", "My Portfolio", and click on "Add a case to your Portfolio".

It's over a 13-year age difference for us. The embassy may ask about it during the visa interview (they often ask about lots of stuff) but in the end it is no big deal - the important question for them is whether or not you are LEGALLY married. If the law where you married says it's OK to marry with an age difference, then it's OK to have an age difference. If the law where you married says it's OK to marry your half-sibling (and this is legal in Sweden), then it's OK to marry your half-sibling.

Generally, USCIS can't impose social biases unless it has a legal basis for doing so - it has that, for example, with people who marry prostitutes. A federal law prohibits the prostitute from immigrating even as the spouse of a US citizen. That law is almost certainly unconstitutional - prostitution is legal in Nevada - but as yet nobody has taken the time and effort to seriously challenge this law in federal court.

I tried doing that multiple times but every time I get to the "Add a case to your Portfolio" section I get a "501 (or 511 it was?) Error" It just won't load up the page...

hey I also had this problem, but with something else... error # 501 means the web server just needs to be updated or you have to simply clear the cache and delete the cookies... So I had a problem once too signing up to something. I did both and everything worked like a charm. But anyways, you're right, it's probably better to not drive yourself crazy.

We tell that to ourselves often Probably there's a reason why our receipt number isn't working or will not even work. So that we won't have to deal with the stress checking it every hour of everyday!
