I don't really see it as a bad news... It means that USCIS people are aware of their target time of processing petitions. That gives me the impression that they want to clean their image and stick to their target (processing of petition for 5 months). I will be more worried if they did not do that because it means that they are just accepting applications without resolving the prior ones. I am still optimistic about getting our approval in a timely manner :)

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)

October 23, 2010 - WEDDING DAY!!

March 18-28, 2011 - hubby's visit to Philippines for his bday (2nd bday together)

USCIS Stage - 136 days for USCIS journey

December 2, 2010 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

December 6, 2010 - I-130 received!! yay!!

December 13, 2010 - NOA1 text message received!

December 16, 2010 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

April 28, 2011 - NOA2!!! Thank you LORD!

NVC Stage - 21 days for NVC journey

May 2, 2011 - NOA2 hard copy received in the mail; NVC received our case

May 6, 2011 - Case number and IIN ; DS3230 sent by beneficiary through email to NVC

May 10, 2011 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

May 13, 2011 - IV bill generated and paid

May 16, 2011 - IV bill shows "PAID" ; AOS and DS230 packets sent to NVC

May 18, 2011 - NVC received both packets

May 19, 2011 - Medical exam - PASSED!!! :)

May 27, 2011 - Sign in Failed and Case Complete!!! Woot!

June 9, 2011 - Interview date assigned

July 14, 2011 - Interview @8:30am - APPROVED!!!!

July 21, 2011 - Visa Received! FINALLY!

July 23, 2011 - POE - Salt Lake City, Utah *home sweet home*

Yhang's analysis is exactly correct. :thumbs: California now has extra processing capacity, so it is pulling in additional petitions to start working on. California's existing petitions should be zipping right along! :)

I agree with yhang and Ivriesling. Personally, I choose to have a little more empathy toward the CSC to TSC filers. They really have had enough waiting. I'd have NO PROBLEM WHATSOVER if they were approved as first priority far ahead of myself. They definitely deserve it, without a doubt.

And as far as placing my trust in God - Amen to that! And I keep praying for fast approvals for CSC to TSC petitioners, then us all from October through January.

I received my NAO1 on December 12th 2010..... when i go to uscis website and enter my receipt no. nothing comes up.... why is this.. should i worry abt this...

another question is my nao1 has CSC address at bottom of it.. does that mean it is being processed thru that center... thanks...

Gosia, it's not that I feel no empathy towards the CSC to TSC people. :thumbs: I feel bad for them too and hope they all get approved tomorrow.

The whole thing is a huge mess and a waste of everybody's time... I just don't think that sending stuff back and forth is a good solution in the first place. I just hope everything will go well for all of us. Plus, I'm so done with traveling all the time, not be able to settle and not b able to get a steady job, because everything is constantly on the move. The whole thing is just really frustrating and sometimes I just like to complain and cry all day long. Makes me feel better. :blush:

@chako: You need to make an account on the USCIS website. When you go there, click on sign in, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page - click on the 'register' link. Once you make an account, you can then see if you have been 'touched'. But don't put too much stock in a 'touch'; there have been many people who have gotten approvals without getting touches. Also, there are a lot of Dec/Jan filers who can't get their case number to work on the site, which also doesn't mean anything other than you can't log in to check touches.

@Daria: We went to a ticker site, made our tickers, then copy/pasted the coding into our signatures, which will then append the ticker to every post you make. www.tickerfactory.com is the most popular, but there are others out there.
