I'm not referring to a Packet 3/4 etc. I mean the package that the VISA comes in once you receive it. It will have documents with or attached to it. One of these documents it the IDS or Immigrant Data summary. The IDS is required to get the CFO stamp.

George

Geroge, is all this stuff outlined some where in detail and am I just missing it?

It would be nice to know specifically what is needed when, and what can be done while waiting for some other process. I feel I am at the mercy of the steps in the process, if you get my meaning.

The VJ Flowchart is not specific to the processes here in Manila, so it is only helpful to a point.

I am extremely frustrated also, that I have not received any official notification of anything except the NOA1 & NOA2.

I mean documents must be logged in, scanned or recorded some where, it not that difficult to set up an automated response, email or other saying "you are here" go to this now.....

Plus it would save them "manpower", resources and lots of money, to NOT have to respond to all our inquiries.

In a nutshell:

In a week or so, the U.S. Embassy Manila will have received your K-1 petition from the NVC and logged it into their system. At that time, the Embassy will notify your fiancée that she is eligible to schedule an interview, at which point you will have to navigate the Embassy's incomprehensible new scheduling process and book an interview for her.

In the meantime, your fiancée needs to complete her medical at St. Lukes, and gather the documents she will need for her interview (CENOMAR, NBI clearance, etc.). You need to get your papers together and send them to your beneficiary (I-134, 1040, paycheck stubs, updated Letter of Intent to Marry, etc.).

Your beneficiary can complete the CFO seminar either before she interviews or after she interviews. When she receives her passport and visa back after the interview, she will go get the CFO sticker attached to her passport.

Then she's good to go.

just a side note, members should make copies of the bio page of their passport, especially when taking medical before scheduling an interview. passport number needed when paying for visa appplication, which must be done before scheduling an interview.

Ah OK, K1 was sent from NVC 11/30/2010.

How will the embassy notify my Fiancee that she is eligible to schedule the interview? Snail mail, email, phone?

We are getting all doc’s together now, only thing she needs now is Cenomar.

Can she go to St. Luke’s for the medical with only a copy of the NOA2 and our MNL number (only have it verbally from NVC over the phone, no hard copy yet.)

Can she complete CFO now, again with only a copy of the NOA2 and our MNL number (verbal)

This is the info I am looking for, thanks Tahoma!

The Embassy used to send a snail mail to the beneficiary notifying them of their interview. Sometimes the letter never arrived, as Chinook and I can attest to. However, I'm not sure if the Embassy is still using the same method of notification since they began their new scheduling process. Your best bet is to call the NVC, find out when they sent your petition to Manila, wait about ten days or two weeks until the petition arrives in Manila and the Embassy has entered it into their system. Then your beneficary should get her notification...unless that has changed under the new procedure.

Many VJers have reported that they were allowed to complete their medical using only their NOA2. If you also have an MNL case number, or the hardcopy of the MNL case number, all the better.

She can complete the seminar, but she will have to wait to get the CFO sticker when she gets her passport back from the Embassy.
