Marriage Certificate Contents

I am wondering if its possible for someone to write the contents (sort of template) of marriage certificate that I can follow to get my marriage certificate done the same way.

You don't get to pick your certificate.. its given to you by the court/government/registrars office. It is what they issue you.

Assuming you're talking about a marriage document from India, yea I'm afraid you have no choice in that matter. its whatever the issuing authority deems the language to be. i'm not sure but i think there may be a difference in what a court marriage document is vs say a registration of marriage certificate, but like I said, not sure about that...

in the US, i believe you actually have to go to the court and apply for a marriage license 30 days in advance (?). then after whatever solemnizing ceremony, you go and pick it up.

How far in advance you apply for a US State marriage license varies by state but no state makes you wait more than three days. I think the OP may be asking about a format for translating the marriage certificate. If so, the format should be as close to the original foreign language certificate as possible.

Just to clarify, marriage licenses here are state documents so each state has their own rules. Waits can be what the state legislatures pass as law. In Nevada there is no waiting period, which is why many people go there to marry.
