Um, no. I'm actually in no rush for my visa, I see my fiance all the time and I'm actually trying to figure out how to delay my POE. So I'm not wound up, but thanks for asking. I take issue with Gary and Alla's rude comments and sarcastic tone which is totally uncalled for when someone is just asking for help. Not everybody's first language is English and sarcasm doesn't parlay well into text or to someone whose first language isn't English. It is easier just to be straight-forward and helpful instead of confusing people and possibly causing hurt feelings.

Wow, you could have just said all that initially. That's my entire point...and I agree you have given constructive information, but using sarcasm that others may not understand is just wasting time for everybody.

Oh and sheenaspapi actually answered the question as well, albeit in a more helpful manner.

Very entertaining everyone!

I try to avoid looking at the guesstimate.....it's all over the place :clock:

Initially I hoped it was a good guesstimate range, but then it kept moving and moving and moving....so thankfully I got VJ here to help pass the time and not go too crazy :content:

As other posters have pointed out, sarcasm has no place in the immigration forum. It is less than useless as well as being inappropriate. If you have nothing useful to contribute to the discussion - such as an honest answer to an honest question - then do not participate in the thread.

My apologies for responding to this so late - I have only just signed on for the day now.

Yes. Or VJ will give you your next estimate for FREE

At the risk of getting in trouble with some here I must say I thought Gary's comment OK. We all need to lighten up a bit and try not to be too judgmental. Gary's advice is usually very informed and has been very helpful to me. We all have our own personalities and maybe what is meant as a friendly and humorous response is taken the wrong way by others that don't understand or appreciate a bit of friendly sarcasm. We are all stressed while waiting so long. Let's try to cut each other some slack. :)

The horrible sarcastic guy is the ONLY one that answered the OPs question. The rest just chastised the horrible sarcastic guy.

Actually, sheenaspapi did reply with an answer to the OP directly below your reply. They didn't start to take aim at you with the grenades and mortars until right after that.

BTW, I thought you answer was "spot on", although I would have just passed on this particular question. I have no desire to be thought of as the "horrible sarcastic guy", even if it's just because I pointed out the obvious.

OK, another question for you. What color was that red car that just passed by?:bonk:

Cracking under the pressure? Not likely and I am not stressed the least. As far as sarcasism, I may be the best at that but only to people who really need it.

Gary replied as he normally does. He takes any chance he has to belittle a poster here to show how smart he is.

I get very annoyed at all the repeat posts on topics answered many times before that if they would take 5 minutes they could answer themselves. I just reply read, read, read.

When I first encountered Gary, I thought it was something about me that made him respond so rudely! I have now realized that he lives to hurt others (maybe something from his childhood???). Anyway, I feel that VJ has been a very helpful and informative place for the most part. Besides the occassional comment that potrays somewhat of a high school "mean girls" attitude. Hope that it doesnt discourage anyone too much. There is actually alot of good info here and even more kind and supportive folks.

Oh, really? I'll have to tell my wife that.

Is English your first language? If so you will never truly understand how it feels to have to 'learn' humor in another culture, jokes, sarcasm, etc. If English is not your first language, my apologies for calling you out(seriously). But I'm willing to bet you don't know what your talking about...
