Pretty early to be talking that way but if she is the best the GOP can do then that party is in serious trouble. We should start seeing people announcing they are running by spring or summer. What would be a real hoot is if McCain announces running again.

We already know she will have the money to run and even have the media come out for her from the get go but wait till she has to start debating actually people and do more interviews and try to talk and act intelligent. I am sure she will be more ready than last time but this babe will fall hard.

The money gets you in the game and a lot of money gets you more front and centered in the debates but that is all. The rest is up to that person and they have to think and talk at the same time. She is unable to do that.

The sad thing is Obama won because of a popularity contest. "Who can be the most popular person in the US that's NOT George Bush?" Oprah farted his name and POOF! he was in there. Palin is in the same boat. With facebook and twitter, plus reality TV, she'll have a shot. Maybe not the GOP nomination, but even as an independent. There are enough losers out there funding her that she'll be able to run. "See, I really am popular. And what's popular is good for America."

As for real GOP candidates, we'll probably see someone like Rand Paul or Bobby Jindal emerge here shortly. Maybe even Mitch McConnel or John Boehner. Romney won't get it done and McCain couldn't handle another run. He'd get crucified over his anti-immigration stance.

Bush 41 was actually a serious policy wonk with real leadership street cred as a WWII War hero, with service on the House Ways & Means committee as a Congressman, and as CIA Director, prior to his Presidency. While I don't agree with him on most policy issues, I respect his intelligence and accomplishments.

Bush 43 - not so much.
