Hi All,

I am going to Nepal to get married on December. I am mormon and my church requires that the marriage be recognized in a legal civil way in the United States. I am having the hardest time understanding how to do that in Nepal. Does anyone know?

I am open to immigration advice for my Nepalese Wife to the US as well.

If the marriage is recognized as legal in Nepal, she is your "legally and lawfully wedded wife" and the marriage will be recognized as legal in the USA or any other country. To immigrate as your spouse, you'll need a civil marriage certificate from the country where the marriage took place. It really is as simple as "married is married" from a legal standpoint.
