Being refused a visitor visa would only have an effect if he lied.

He can not check the databses, he does not have access to them.

Ok, I realize that I'm some 20 days behind the curve here...

Anyway, my wife is visiting here ( US ) from Thailand and I was told by US Immigration that it was alright for a spouse to visit her husband on a B2 visa. This was in Seattle on 02 December 2010.

She already had a B2 for a few years and had /s been in and out of the US several times.

Cactus - your case is different your wife had her B2 visa before she married a USC, so she did not lie on her original I-160 about her relatives in US.

Even in your case your wife could be denied entry at POE, having visa does not gurantee anyone a entry.

OP's case - yes your sister, brother who want to visit have to put that they have relatives living in the country. USC's brother and sister are coming to visit and not to live here permenantly.

Your Husband is coming to live here permenantly, and for which he has made an application - you just have to follow the process and wait.

If they let everyone do what you are asking get married in other country and let the spouse in on B2 - immigration would have no control at all it would be crazy at the borders. :)
