Hi,

I am applying for a K1/Fiance visa and have my interview scheduled for tommorow morning - Yay and finally.

However, and on the Nay side, I was given a "Simple caution" for false misrepresentation/Fraud this morning about 24 hours before my interview. Now whilst I was not convicted of any wrong doing in the unfortunate event, I was cautioned and told that this would stay on my police record for a further 3 years. I have also learnt via wikipedia that this seems to constitute a crime of moral turpitude and therefore may result in me being inadmissable on the US.

I am therefore desperate for some advice as to how this may affect my interview.

I have had NO prior record of any sort with the police, prior to yesterdays unfortunate episode and this is stated in my police certificate - which states "No Live Trace".

Now I presume that I may be asked if I have been arrested/convicted of any offence post the issance of the police certificate and whilst I think I should be mentioning the aforementioned misdemeanor? I am trying to ascertain how this is likely to affect my application.

Would really appreciate you're views/advice on the matter

Thanks in advance,

Did the police give you anything in writing which you could take to the interview with you?

Also, do you mean that your ACPO states "NO TRACE"? No Live Trace indicates that there is something in your past that has now been stepped down.

Firstly, hi there and thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have been given a copy of the "simple caution" which I will be taking with to the interview. Although I don't currently have it on my person, it gives a summarised reason for the "simple caution"

Apologies, the ACPO does actually state "No Trace"

Thanks,
