Hi just updated my case status for K3 I 129F in uscis site..we just applied K3 last october, now they were asking for RFE, they already sent letter today by mail and will receive this anytime this week, wonder what kind of documents they need for RFE...need to know so we can prepared the documents ahead of time and this time will look for a Lawyer who have legal knowledge to handle this matter...thanks

The RFE will state what you have to provide. Until you get that, no one can say what it is they are asking for.

Sorry for the RFE! However, everything you've heard here is correct. It can be something bery simple that is missing. Dont drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out, and dont try and make preparations for response, because you don't know what you need to respond to. Just be patient and wait for the letter. Good luck.

Well my petition took 165 days to be approved. I got an RFE and did it all myself. You can do it yourself too. First when you receive the letter read it and see what they are looking for and if there is something you don't really understand post it here. I'm sure anybody can help you. It's just a way to save money, because many people do it without the help of lawyers. I'm not telling you not do it, but i'm saying that doing it yourself is also a good option. This site is sooo helpful that simple cases should not required the help of lawyers or the money that you will later need for other expenses with your loved one!

Good luck and keep us updated!

You are right ...the RFE we got was simple they were asking to submitt again the G325a copy for both of us and a passport photo of my husband thats it, and they already recieved the documents and advised us to wait within 3o days for the result ...a never ending waiting time..hope to end soon....Thanks for inputs!

Topic moved to CR-1/IR-1 forum as not a K-1 topic (and K-3s are being administratively closed and turned into CR-1 )

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
