Um...that's kind of rude, don't you think...considering there may be many proud Texans here?

he used to live in missouri so it's understandable

Well gee, I could share my opinion of Missouri but I don't want to be rude.

When I was growing up in Kansas, I use to see "Show me state" license plates on some of the WORST drivers...the joke was we needed to show 'em how to drive!

The fashion sense of a large number of Americans is certainly questionable. I told a kid with baggy pants to visit Europe. I told him he would fit in like a house on fire..

Edited by Infidel

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Baggy pants can be gang related. Gangs cause trouble.

Beware of Stereotypes!!

Trust my, my life is all about stereotypes. My son goes to middle school in Phoenix....they wear uniform with regulations on baggy pants, long shirts, size of belt buckles, color of uniform, color or hair etc. It is all about gang related 'gear' stereotypes. It sure does cut down on the problems.

I can see it being really hard to enforce in a city and arrest fashion criminals but the premise makes sense to me.

Interesting, I guess it all depends on where you live. Because here (PHL) we really don't have a BIG problem with gangs. Guys do where baggy pants and oversized T-shirts, but its mostly '"The bigger the better fad".

They ought to make baggy pants mandatory for those that have a criminal record - makes it harder for them to run from the law. Literally:

Baggy pants thwart Calif. man's escape

The Associated Press

SALINAS, CA- Police in California say a fleet-footed suspect's escape attempt was foiled when the man's baggy pants fell to his ankles and tripped him up.

The California Highway Patrol said 37-year-old Johnny Camel tried to run from police after a traffic stop in Salinas, California, Friday. But police said Camel was wearing jeans that were about four sizes too big.

Police said Camel also wasn't wearing underwear under the loose jeans.

The CHP said an increasing number of foot pursuits are ending quickly because suspects can't run and hold their pants up at the same time.

Police said Camel is on parole after a recent release from prison. A conviction for resisting arrest could send him back to jail.
