VISA APPROVE!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance::D

Wife called around 12.30am and gave me the good news. They didnt ask anything at all. Just standard questions:

Who is filing for you?

Where does your husband work?

Whats his job title?

WHen did you last see you husband?

How come you had a late reception (almost 9 months later)?

Showed them the pictures of the reception.

How come your in-laws didnt come to marriage?

Who from you in-laws side came to the wedding?

What are you doing currently?

Then the lady said: Congratulations. Your visa has been issued and you will get your passport in the mail.

The pre-screener and the CO asked the same questions. She had to wait 2 hours in between and then she got out in less than 10 mins.

Thank you all for the help and prayers.

Congratulations Johndoe12!!!!

How many stopovers?

I am looking for 1 stopover/change plane in Asia (either Taipei, HK, S. Korea or Japan) and the direct to JFK or Newark.

I have the following so far:

1. PAL Manila - NYC 1st time immigrant $ 500 + 189 taxes =$689

PR 104 MNL SFO 2230 1830

AA 018 SFO JFK 2300 0729

2. EVA only via Newaark

$ 510 + 155 tax =$665

BR 272 MNL TPE 1245 1450

BR 032 TPE EWR 1900 2030 ( tpe-taipei/ EWr - Newark)

3. Cathay Pacific

$ 560 + 172 tax=$ 732

CX 904 MNL HKG 0630 0830

CX 830 HKG JFK 0935 1210

I will take EVA airline above China Airlines.

I am waiting for my wife to come online to tell her to have them "reserve" the EVA air price for her - she will pay at the end of the week.

Any info for First United Travel?

Mine is a Delta flight. I honestly don't want to take this because I heard that thay have bad service and there's no in-flight entertainment besides this one big TV on the headboard. I'm also flying with an infant so this isn't really my first choice but it has the cheapest fare! The stop over is at Narita, Japan.

Jan 24

MNL (08:05) to NRT (13:05) 4 hours

NRT (15:05) to JFK (14:00) 12 hours and 55 mins.

Airfare with taxes: Adult $680 Infant $108

Eva sounds okay but it has a 5-hour layover! It's a good thing your wife is travelling alone. I, on the other hand have my son who won't stop running around.

Btw, where in NY do you live? Hubby's in Brooklyn

Anyone heard of Case close taking over a 1.5 weeks after SIF. I got my SIF Dec 27th. BUT my case is not closed yet. I just called in and the lady said to call in another couple of days. This can delay my interview date drastically if I go into 3rd week of Jan.

Don't worry, mine took a while as well. Check my timeline below =) i know it's hard but just be more patient.

Since there is a kid involve the shorter stopover will be better.

EVA airways do have individual VOD entertainment system & they do feed you.

When we started looking for flights, all the airlines on my list were Asian based airlines.

We may switch to EVA Airways & fly into Newark. I found out that China Airlines do make 1 extra stopover in Alaska. I want to avoid the extra stopover.

I am now trying to decide whether to have her come on a Thursday or a Saturday - no Friday flights to EWR. The Saturday would be better for me as I would not have to take Friday off work & just start my vacation on the following Monday. Also deciding to have her come on the following Monday if Saturday is not available -everything will be decided by this weekend

Also, I am in the Bronx.
