Hi Everyone! I just got home! My VISA was Approved today! Yay! THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the wishes and prayers, all informations u shared to me and to everyone. Yes, this will be a painful wait. My wife is a teacher so she needs a good two weeks to put her reports in the students records as there is only a couple of months left in the school year. Plus the hospital I work for will be inspected the last week of January so I wont be able to take time off and ticket prices are so much cheaper in February. February seems to be the date for me.

I too am shooting for a February flight date. There is about a $150 difference between a January & February flight for us - MNL to JFK.

HELLO ALL VJ'ers...it is great to greet all of you again after a long pause.......

Well, I have submitted all doc's to VFS......as well as medical was also done the same day. But Ahmedabad passport office are full of J E R K S.....they haven't put a tag outside their premisis...of BE AWARE...... Anyways .... long story short.....don't go with any expectations.....to AHD passport office....that they will listen to you or get your work done......forget it......

So now completely ready for the interview.......but I just want to get the list of supporting doc's from someone. I know it has been posted earlier on VJ...but I can't find it.....plz someone post the link.....that would be so helpful...

Visa delivered! Whew! Wife received a text this morning saying her visa would be delivered today, and it just arrived about 30 minutes ago! :dance:

For others in the Phils awaiting delivery who interviewed around the same time, my wife is currently staying in Antipolo City, about an hour from Manila, so this amounts to a very local delivery for 2Go. It may take a bit longer to farther provinces. My wife is actually from Eastern Samar, but as luck has it, she's been house sitting for her OFW brother since about July.

Note that once you receive the text from 2Go that they will deliver that day, you can call them and they will give you a tracking number that allows you to track the progress of your visa delivery.

On Monday, onwards to the CFO seminar and booking tickets! I finally feel like it is all real!

My wife have called them.

She got a quote of $660 for China Airlines & $750 for Cathay Pacific - MNL to NYC.

Although more expensive I am leaning towards Cathay because I am a member of their MPC & there is a slight chance that I may get her upgrade from Economy to Business class.
