I've had my interview and I'm still uncertain about it.

The interviewer didn't ask me a lot of questions. He asked me when I entered US and asked me when my birthday was. He also asked me whether I was ever deported or arrested. Then he asked me for my original birth certificate (I've filed translated certified copy), I told him I didn't have it on me.

So he started printing out something for 10 minutes and turned out it was RFE for the original of my birth certificate without translation. I had a copy of it though so I gave it him.

Then he was like "okay, now it seems like I have everything to finished your case".. so he was going to update my file but his computer freezed and the information didnt't go through.

He was like "well, I'm going to fix computer during the day, so that you gonna get your approval letter in a week and your card in 30 days or so", and I was like "is there any way I can check if it went through?", and he said "well, you will know that your information went though when you get an approval letter and your card".

Soooo, I've checked online and there is still no update. It's been 3 days and I start to get worried. Did he updated my case or not? What if it's still on RFE stage that he mistakenly issued?

I have no written confirmation of my approval, only verbal. Do I have to just wait now and see what happens?

Its going to take longer than 3 days to get your approval notice and greencard. Expect more like 1-2 weeks for it to come in the mail.

The person who interviews generally doesnt approve the cards either. They say you are approved but they have to hand off the paperwork to another reviewer to do another check over and that person makes the approval official then sends the card to printing etc.

I had my interview today for AOS based in my I 360 petition and the officer was very nice, lots of questions from I-485 file. But handmade me a paper saing that : your case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further informations or documents. We may also schedule you for another interview, you will receive a notice in the mail. Otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case is complete.
