Applying for Citizenship

17th January 2012 Sent in N-400 application

24th January 2012 Received conformation e-mail from USCIS

25th January 2012 Cheque cashed

13th February 2012 Biometrics appointment

5th March 2012 Received e-mail I am in line for interview scheduling

8th March 2012 Received letter for interview

12th April 2012 Interview date-approved

10th May 2012 Oath ceremony

Now my only remaining worry is that my mailman actually deliver the card. Ugh, we have the relief mailman this week and I swear he must smoke pot or something. My neighbors get my mail, I get theirs. He comes back hours later with my mail and says "oops I forgot to give you this". He fell down off my porch one day. Ay yi yi.

04/01/08 Filed immigration paperwork as advised by our Immigration attorney

01/08/08 Honeymoon in England

06/04/08 Returned to USA from honeymoon (nice long honeymoon)

07/01/08 Find out immigration attorney had told us to file wrong paperwork. So we call USCIS and they advise what paperwork we need to file.

AOS paperwork submitted to wrong address....so resumbitted to correct address....(thanks uscis customer service line...NOT)

09/15/08 Notice that I-485, I-765 received by USCIS on 9/11/08

09/17/08 Letter received giving date of Biometrics appointment

10/01/08 Biometrics done

10/10/08 Case on hold. USCIS requested I-693 (medical exam & Vaccination report)

12/30/08 I-693 sent to USCIS

02/02/09 received letter from USCIS to attend initial interview

03/05/09 initial interview at Sacramento Office

21/21/10 filed for removal of conditions

1/10/11 received letter for biometric appointment

2/10/11 biometric appointment

04/01/11 rceived letter asking for additional information of joint assets and or proof we are a legit couple.

05/02/11 received letter to say they will notify us of date of interview.

wife received approval letter today. said she would receive the card in 60 days. is this normal? also the uscis case status page has not updated...

Yes, that is what it said on my husband's approval letter too..60 days.

On the card production email that I got 2 times it said within 30 days.

Then I got another email 6 days after the approval letter was dated (may 7th which I received in the mail may 12th) saying they sent an approval letter out on the 13th of May. Confusing.

About the updates...for the ROC we got all the updates sent to our email. For our AOS nothing was updated on the site. I think it'####### or miss online.

9/4/2008 AOS interview

1/29/2009 GC

12/15/2010 I-751 sent

5/7/2011 ROC approved

5/11/2011 email stating card production ordered

5/13/2011 approval letter received in mail

5/13/2011 GC sent to wrong address due to system error

5/16/2011 service request opened

5/16/2011 usps tracking number shows card undeliverable

6/13/2011 GC returned to VSC

6/15/2011 case status update shows card was mailed out to correct address

6/17/2011 GC received in mail
