Hello,

Pls give me some advice....the day after my FP,I got stopped for driving with suspended tags... witch I was not aware of. Apparently I had failled to do the initions. My DL was taken by the patrol officer. The day after I took care of all/ got a new DL, had the initions done.

My interview ttok place on Fev 24 went fine, I did mention to the IO that i got a tickets she asked me if i took care of it and I mentionned to her that I had to go to court at the end of March. the IO told I should have a decision made within 120 days.

I had planned to go vitit my parents in Belgium in March so I asked call the court and they says that my husband could come and directly talked to the judge.My husband showed up in court and the judge had him that it was imparative that I be present for that case and it should then be reschedule.

Whitin That is when i received the RFE with a reply date of May 08 asking me to sent in the proof that the case had been settle.

I checked on Maryland Court system online, and surprised I realized that an arrest warrent had been issued. At that point I decided to play it safe and had preffered that a lawyer took over. It cost me $ 650 but only the arrest warrant was cancelled. The lawyers asked for an extra $ 500 to take care of the rest with no garantee of the outcome. I decided to wait for the new court date and go myself.Now the new court date of June 27.

From all the posting I have been reading, a traffic violation should not be an issue for the N400 applications. what do you VJ4 think??? Is the immigration waiting on the outcome of that case to decide or should I hear from them withing a 120 days. waiting for your reply.

here is my interview experience yesterday in Atlanta. I had appt at 1:30pm, got there at 1, took about 5 minutes going through security. Checked in on first floor and went up to 3rd floor waiting to be called. I was called 5 minutes after I sat down. The officer greated me and my husband and shaked my husband's hand. I think it helped a lot that he was there so the office did not ask ANY question about our marriage during the interview.

everything else was very easy and smooth. we went through all the basics on my N400 application, bday, name, ssn, address etc. then he asked me the yes/no questions on the application. signed my name like 5 times. answered the 6 questions and wrote down "Alaska is the largest state". I was out of his office in 10 minutes. Since my appt was later than the cutoff for oath (1pm), he gave me a piece of paper that told me i am scheduled to oath on 6/28.

overall, i don't even think mine was an interview. it was more like going to the field office to sign some papers and answer a few questions. best of luck everyone.

Lovenjstar, did it take long for you to hear something or some change of status after having your fingerprints done?

I'm asking because I had mine on May 23rd (application was filed in April 2011) and my status keeps saying Initial review (it says: 04/25/2011 N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION ). Plus I have problems with my fingerprints (they are not readable). Do you think I should worry or just wait for now?

My application was going relatively fast but after biometrics it got stuck. :bonk:

simply put, it took them forever plus some to send me the interview letter. you can look at the chart for exact dates. i woudln't worry, atlanta seems to be very good at being slow.

Just thought I would update you while I am totally freaking out, it seems my passport application is lost in thier system, which means my naturalization certificate and name change letter is lost with it..........any suggestions of what I do now before I have a nervous break down.

I did make a copy of the naturalization certificate, however, I did not make a copy of the letter pertaining to my namechage as it was stapled to the back of the naturalization certificate and I really never thought about it until about 20 minutes AFTER the post office closed the day I mailed them away ... funny how that happens lol.

Despite my case clearly having issues and being delayed for an Oath while others who filed months later in the same area are approved - my congressman has now told me to shove off (not much more politely) with my queries because they think this is just fine.
