Hi All,

Just wanted to let you all know I had my Oath Ceramony in Manhatten NY today, it was a beautiful ceramony, so now my journey that began six and a half years ago is now pretty much over and I could not have done it without you guys, all thats left to do now is Passport application on Monday and N-600 sent away for both my kids who are 11 this coming November and 18 this coming August, Any advice on the N-600 ?

Can someone update me please...Thank You.

Hi All,

Congratulations!

About the N-600, just remember that you don't necessarily need to file it. Your kids can file for a passport based on the citizenship of both parents, and their passport is a perfectly legitimate proof of citizenship if they ever need it.

Mine has been there too. I have heard with N400 they don't update cases once they go past that point. Seems very common.

Good to hear everyone moving ahead.

My Interview was today at 11 am. The officer very quickly covered all parts of my application form and then straight one reading, 1 writing and 6 questions from civic/history section. Then he congratulate me and said he would recommend me and final decision will be mailed after his recommendation is accepted. Then he gave me one paper saying the same thing. I guess it took just 15-20 min and then I was out of his room. If accepted, the oath will be in July 14, and I will get the oath letter for that date.

Although slow, I am happy that I am moving with the group. I appreciate if some one update my timeline and and want to thank you all for posting your experience here that helped a lot during my long waiting period.

12/22/2010 -- Application Received

12/23/2010 -- Notice of Application

12/23/2010 -- Check Cashed

01/10/2011 -- Biometric notice (date on letter)

I just got back from my interview today in Downtown LA. I will post details very soon ASAP. BUT...I had the easiest, quickest most laid back interview ever and the guy who interviewed me was so nice. It felt like chit chatting over Turkish coffee not an actual interview. Good luck for those waiting, Details soon :)
