Thank you! BTW: We stopped off at the post office and filed for an expedited passport on the way home from the ceremony. Ten days to two weeks, we end our VisaJourney that began December 2006.

Hi dakota9, You might want to give them a call. I also called USCIS to inquire about my status. They gave me the regular Blah-blah.. everybody is different.. etc, but in the same time I got an update a few days later.

Could be a coincidence, I will never going to find it out, but it definitely did not hurt.

Sorry About that ... Maybe give them a call just like what Batkamano60 said just choose the option of not having the receipt number so you can talk to a person.

By the way, can you give us your time line when you sent your application and your NOA1 and also the date check was encash so we can add you to the group and also pls include the office.

California, your and my timeline are pretty similar. I talked with customer service lady on March 7. She told me that my case is pending and gave me service request number so that i can ask them again after 60 days (I told her that I have not received letter/information as shown on RFE except the biometric notice) If I will not get letter or information update.

Talked with FBI customer service, My print was returned to the USCIS same day when FP was taken.

That is all I know, everything else in dark.

I am also in same situation I done my finger prints January 13 2011, now its been more than 2 months but I didn’t get interview letter yet, on February 7, I got yellow letter to bring my 3 years tax paper when come to interview. thats it. :innocent:

If you look at page 24 of this thread you see a post that I had about calling USCIS. Once the yellow letter is sent, your file has passed the USCIS check and your application is just in line for interview to be scheduled. I live in Los Angeles, a city packed with immigrants, so a long wait is not a surprise here. I am not sure what city you are located in.

I honestly don't think my interview will be anytime before May, and I have no problem waiting.

I think so if I wanna be realistic. My friend here in LA applied in mid November and just got his interview letter 10 days ago for April 6, 2011. Since I applied a month after he did, I am hoping to get my interview scheduled for early May

Californian; I went through your post on page 24. Feel better but still I am not sure what is the reason of pending. Hope my case waiting its turn without going other things wrong. What about your online status? Are you in RFE status or interview and testing status?

cross your finger and hope for the best. I am sure, you will get your interview letter pretty soon!

Californian, You are sort of right. The location is important but in the same time some offices can handle greater cases because they have more head counts.

New York processes more cases daily than any other city in the US but still keep up with the flow.
