I got my interview letter yesterday 2/8/11 for 3/10/11 .

Guess it is time to start studying, or may be not yet

Question: Our "custom generated" I-797C has a list of documents my wife must bring such as green card, drivers license, passports, proof of sponsoring spouse's citizenship, so on. All good :)

The included "generic" form N-659 "Naturalization Interview Check List " has a long list of documents, all of which we already sent. The requested documents are from our original N-400 filing! These include the above documents PLUS 3 years tax returns, optional two passport size photos, proof of termination of previous marriages, name change information, documents regarding "scuffles wit' de law," if any, docs regarding selective service, record of being outside the U.S. more than 6 months, so on...

They want us to bring them in original and photocopies. Ridiculous, eh?

I just got my yellow letter, so hopefully this means the interview letter is not far behind! How long did it take after the yellow letter for all of you? (that is if you got one!)

I got both yellow letter and interview letter in the same day! You should be getting yours soon!

"Yellow letters?" Interesting. We received only one letter with the I-797C NOA describing appointment time and place with the included generic copy(white copy paper) requesting MANY docs to bring in original with copies.

Got two letters from USCIS today .0ne is the interview letter that they scheduled me on March 14 and the second letter is that the schedule is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances!

Wow, that's weird, i've never heard of that before. i'd say call the USCIS customer service and inquire about this. also if i were you i would show up for my interview on the 14th anyway, just in case that unforeseen circumstances are over. Good luck i'll keep you in my prayers

03/25/2011 I received the Passport, FINALLY US Citizen, thanks god :-)

"Yellow letters?" Interesting. We received only one letter with the I-797C NOA describing appointment time and place with the included generic copy(white copy paper) requesting MANY docs to bring in original with copies.

What is in a "yellow letter?"

I don't know what is a "yellow" letter either. Got the same letters and papers as you did....

The yellow letter is just a letter that tells you to bring certain documents to your interview. Most people get one before their interview letter, but some people never get one.

Mine just said bring identification.
