Petition for mom first is the best thing to do then mom petition for the minor children...

But I have a question, how long does it take before mom's petition is approve and after it's approve how long before she gets her green card? So, if ever she gets her greencard, does this mean she can immediately file a petition for the children?

How long before the mom's petition for the kids gets approve? As far as I know it still takes, 6-8 years (hope not!)...

The mother's application could be approved in 8-10 months pending no hold ups. The green card willl be mailed to her and should receive it within 2-24 weeks so could take up to 6 months. Yes the petitioner can sponsor spouse, single child (any age)... Immediately.... The same day that person is admitted into the United States.

It does not take 6-8 years for kids under 21

According to INS website Under 21 children for Permanent resident visa are being approved in 5 months and NVC has started processing F2A so quickly too. So I think under 21 visa should not take more than 2 yrs.

Also, The time INS takes to approve I-130 is subtracted if your children is close to 21 of age.

I-130 Timeline for brother-in-law (Mother-in-law applied it)

11/23/13- Received NOA1 (VSC)

8/13/2019- Touched (Needs a verification document)
