Hi,

I have a friend waiting for her interview (her case was completed August 10th) and I was just wondering. When I had went for my interview 5 years ago I received my visa the next day in my passport. Do they still do this? or has the process changed? Can someone please explain to me what it is she should be prepared for and how long she should be prepared to stay. If they still give the visa the next day she will stay the extra day.

FYI She is on a CR1

Thanks,

melliemel

No they do not usually do that anymore. they have a new mailing system DHL that usually takes 2-10 business days but no Guarantees. There has been a few people that have gotten their visas back the next day but that was usually due to emergency situations however there is no harm in asking at the interview.
