WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe.

Come on now AJ, it's not like they are just going to start chucking satellites out there to find ET.

The kepler mission wasn't illconceived. My point was that the title made it out like this was a search for ET. From what i've read about astrobiology, they are looking for other life forms, an alien sentient being would just be icing on the cake.

The latest rumor is that they found evidence of photosynthesis in the clouds of Titan. That would be very cool.
