Email to advise that GC has been ordered??

I have been reading a few cases lately where people are receiving an email advising them that their GC has been ordered after already having received their 'Welcome to America' letter that also indicates that their GC has been ordered and will be sent as soon as it is ready? I've also read that a few ppl rec'd an email telling them that their GC was mailed? Does everyone receive these emails, or is it random???

03/20/06: NOA 1 / I-130

03/21/06: NOA 1 / I-485

04/03/06: AOS Interview notice...05/11/06

05/18/06: NOA 2 / I-130 approval

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

08/17/06: Email: I-485 approved & GC ordered

08/19/06: 'Welcome to America' letter rec'd

08/22/06: Email: Notice of approval mailed

08/25/06: GC Finally Received!!

05/15/08: Apply to remove conditions

I am obviously becoming paranoid and slightly neurotic, but I will not rest properly until the GC is in my hands with no mistakes on it. As soon as I get it we are driving over to Canada.

I didnt get any emails about green card being ordered and i got an approval email on the day i received my card. they mailed mine out a few days before. So i wouldnt worry about it too much.

I am obviously becoming paranoid and slightly neurotic, but I will not rest properly until the GC is in my hands with no mistakes on it. As soon as I get it we are driving over to Canada.

I just called the USCIS misinformation line and was told that the GC hasn't been mailed yet???!!! I don't know whether or not I should take that with a grain of salt??!

the funny thing is .. they said they mailed my welcome letter on the day of my interview but they actually didnt mail it out until 2 days later per postage stamp. so i was checking my mailbox everyday for my welcome letter. and then i received that they mailed my "approval" letter 2 days after they mailed it out. so i figured i had 2 more days to wait before they mailed it out but i ended up getting my green card on the day i received the email. go figure, that was a nice surprise. just be patient and dont worry. it'll get there. just make sure your name is on your mailbox.
