it will be assigned in about 10 days and since a visa # is not available as yet they are not likely to send out any documents... but a letter saying there are no visa numbers. forgot you had two.

Hi ricardo, i still dont know the exact date. My husband told me that he will have the documents scan then send them to my email. Why there is no changes in my online case status in the USCIS website?

Normally USCIS is consistent with updating the status for the I-130s I'm not sure why the portal/status was not updated. I would not worry about it too much if your husband received notification of he approval then that's all that matters. He should receive the letter in 7 days because they are good at sending out those letters.

ljmp dont worry....... i had the same issue. i already received the letter in the mail but online status is still the same so u r not the only one. there are alot of ppl who have the same issue. take it easy :dance:

2) If you don't call, how will it come to you (petitioner OR the beneficiary)?

3) Between now and PD close to current, what letter/notification can be expected

Ricardo, I-130 filed jan 28, 2011 was the one approved. I suggest we remove my brother-in-laws case (the first one filed dec), becoz its I-129F.

The last case under ljmp_10 was the one approved. NOA2 May 26, 2011. What do i expect next? Is the letter sent to my husband is the NOA2 HARDCOPY? How about case number? How can i get one? Thanks for future responses. :-) God is good, All the time!

I have a question, my husband filed the I-130 for me and included under me is my daughter which name was written on the second page of the form I-130 (if im not mistaken). But then my husband paid only $420. Then in the NOA2, my name is the only one written in it. Does it automatically applicable for my daughter? Is she included in the process? Please help me out with this.

Hi everyone,

I wasn't able to log in for awhile since I forgot my password. :)

Approvals of several Dec. 2010 filers, prompted me to check mine on USCIS site. I checked it today and this is what I saw:

Post Decision Activity

On June 1, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I did not receive any update through text or email yet.

I am eligible for citizenship on September so I am fervently praying, all goes well. :)

@ricardo, how do I update my timeline again?

richardo i didn't receive the NVC case number. how long do i have to wait? am i gonna get through Email or Regular mail?

Since the priority date is not current then USCIS may take their time to forward the petition to the NVC. You should call the NVC tonight/tomorrow and ask if your case is at the office.

In June 2010 my mother/father's got to the NVC in 2 weeks. My brother's case took 12 days to get to the NVC so try to call them soon.

1) For those with NOA2, do you call NVC to get the case #?

2) If you don't call, how will it come to you (petitioner OR the beneficiary)?

3) Between now and PD close to current, what letter/notification can be expected

from NVC to the petitioner and the beneficiary?

a letter saying "sorry no visa number available, just freaking wait"? :wacko:

1. yes call the NVC.

2. The letter will not be sent unless either party calls to request it. But a case number will not be sent via mail.

3. Expect nothing until the case is near current however please read below it is a correspondence i got from the NVC on 5/27/11

NVC Case Number: KNGxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx:

The enclosed information pertains to your interest in immigrating to the United States of America. The

information concerning your registration is noted at the end of the letter.

Unfortunately, visa numbers are not presently available for your use. You will be notified when further

consideration can be given to processing your application for immigration. The reason for this delay is that there

are more applicants for visas than there are immigrant visa numbers available under the limitation prescribed by

law. For some visa categories, for example F3 or F4, this delay could be many years. Should you wish to know

which priority dates are currently being processed, you may call the State Department's Visa Office at (202)

663-1541.

You are cautioned that you must not make any firm plans, such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or

making travel arrangements at this time. We have no way of predicting when it will be possible to proceed with

your immigrant visa application.

You need not check with us further unless you need to report a change of address or a change in your personal

situation which may affect your entitlement to an immigrant visa.

We will keep your case on file until further action is possible. When communicating with this office, either by

telephone or letter, you must ALWAYS refer to your name and case number exactly as they appear below.

The last case under ljmp_10 was the one approved. NOA2 May 26, 2011. What do i expect next? Is the letter sent to my husband is the NOA2 HARDCOPY? How about case number? How can i get one? Thanks for future responses. :-) God is good, All the time!

yes the noa2 will be the hard copy... does not serve much purpose though. The case number.. call the NVC see the message above that has the Number.
