Hi, I have a question:

We have a case closed status and just waiting for the visa to be available. I plan to go to my wife and son for about 4 months, not more than 5 months. My priority date is December 2010.. Will my staying with them and not being in the US be an issue during the application? I have been in and out of the country 3 times visiting them.

Thank you.

NO.. You will not have an issue with the case. The only thing that considers the length of times outside the country is the Naturalization process.

There wont be any problems in your case, If they get Interview while you are there with them then you can be able to help them prepare for it. It would be nice.

Good Luck.

Good Day to all! I just want to ask about my case. We receive checklist cover letter from NVC. It states there an instruction for me about IV fee payment. Now we already paid the IV fee and I want to know what documents do I need to send to the NVC together with the checklist that they send to us. Do I need to print the receipt page and send it to them? any help would be very much appreciated... thanks!

Hello, you would need to Send DS-230 along with those http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html. You don't need to send the receipt page but do include the cover letter that has bar code.

Hope this helps.

How long does it take get citizenship? I'm planning to send my N400 application on Thursday. Please guide me with your experience.

Thanks and Congratulations on your citizenship.

The case change only takes a few days.. usually no more than 5 days. The case will be transferred to the responsibility consulate after the interview date is set. If the consulate has no scheduling delays your wife is likely to get an interview sometime in Sept/2012. if your self the email more than says ago i would make contact with the NVC also with the case #.
