I received my biometrics letter and I wanted to do a walk in soon as my appointment is three weeks away. However, on researching the office hours of my service center I noticed this statement on the USCIS web page for the center:

NOTE: Applicants should not come into the office before their scheduled appointment time.

Does this mean that I cannot do a walk in?

It never hurts to try. Worse case scenario, they send you away and you come back on your appointment date.

Some people have luck with a walk in and some do not. I tried doing a walk in in Santa Ana, California, and was turned away while others have made it through.

My suggestion is that if you live near your ASC office and have the time, go and try for a walk in. But if you have to travel far to the office you might not think it's worth it and are better off waiting a few extra weeks to your appointment time.
