Requirements question

I'm planning on filing my papers around Jan. 1 but since

1) right now I only have my 2009 taxes & my 2010 won't be done by then I'm wondering if I should wait for those to be finished first?

2) Also, does anyone know if you have to send those tax papers with the application or just take them with you to the interview?

3) Also, I only have those 2 years of taxes done, not the 3 that they usually ask for. I do have lots of other documentation, like joint bank accounts, rental leases, etc. with my wife. I'm wondering if they accept alot of those types of documents in lieu of that 3rd year of taxes?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I have never sent in my tax info since I forgot to put in the N-400 packet sent. I think others can help you.

Remember to read the instruction slowly to include all evidences and do not want to become like me . Forgot to include my last three years of tax , marriage evidence. Check my other post on this.

As far as the income taxes go, I did not include them in my packet and wasn't asked for at the interview, so I would say if you want you can send the packet on Jan. 1st. You can send the tax copy with the packet or take them with you to the interview. like I said I didn't include them and was not asked for them either. So if you only worked for two years then that is all you take but I don't know your personal info on why you only have two. good luck

In applying for marriage, the three year, we ended up with four years of tax returns, how come you only have two? We applied at the earliest date. Ha, sent in all four years just to let them know how slow their processing times were, but they only wanted three.
