My husband opened the brown usa visa envelope

After all the ####### i've gone through trying to get my husband into the states so I can live in a country where I can have a decent way of life. Where we can have a decent way of life.

FINALLY!!! After my i-864 being rejected caues my UK income doesn't count, and my co-sponser messing up their forms... my husband finally got his visa in the post.

And what did that dumb ####### do???? Opened the sealed envelop that states "only to be opened by a usa immigration officer". Then decided to read that bit only after opening it.

What happens now? Is it still valid? Is it ruined???

Has anyone done that before???

Any advice please!!! Besides the fact I shouldn't have fallen in love with a blonde.

Thanks,

Jennifer

He's not the first to do this. He needs to return to the consulate and have them reseal the packet.

Recall reading that you can take it back to the embassy and have it sealed.

This is a case where curiosity got the cat! He isn't the only one who has done this, so don't worry.

:o:lol: My husband isn't blonde, but now you have made me sit here and think that I hope he doesn't open that MBE today.

He has to send it back to US Embassy in his place and re-seal it again. Just go there and tell the reason that he accidentally opened it before he read the isntruction and need to re-seea it. Goodluck!

I know that you were extremely irritated. Hey there is nothing wrong with telling him that. When he arrives, greet him with a long kiss and a huge water balloon as punishment... LOL! I'm just glad there is not a long wait or repercussions from his actions besides a trip back to the consulate. He’s lucky that it’s not the Manila Embassy cuz he would be waiting all day for that! Good luck!

There *are* two envelopes---are you sure he opened the 'wrong' one?

If you see all your visa application paperwork, it's back to the Consulate to be re-sealed.

If it was just the outer one with his passport etc, apologize and give him a kiss.

You really do crack me up!:lol::lol::lol:

As punishment then leave him here, but make sure that he doesn't get there until the winter is over! That way he can cope with the rain and the awful weather! Then send him postcards of yourself at the beach, having a nice Mojito, and sunbathing, that should teach him a lesson!:lol::lol::thumbs:
