hey sorry if any of these questions have been answered already, couldn't find them if that's the case.

Anyway, Im a bit new to all of this so it may take awhile to sink in(im blonde btw, so that doesn't help)

My major question is i keep hearing people talk about sending info(ie wedding pics, birth certs, etc) w/ biometrics. is this something we are supposed to add to the AOS forms? there's no info saying we do. If that's the case i need to schedule a doctors appt. asap. Which leads me to my second question. Is that all we have to do first? Just fill out and mail the 6 page packet and wait for a responce as what to do next?

Also, isee there's 5 major USCIS centers where you mail out the AOS, but i see there's one in nyc(we were both currently living)Could we just as easily walk over there and personaly hand them the AOS forms? or does it have to be sent to those 5 major hubs?

THANX AGAIN!

Are you doing an adjustment of status from a visa from within the US? What visa are you adjusting from? When does your I-94 expire?

Biometrics is an appointment when you go and have your fingerprints taken, and a photo. So somewhere you have your terms mixed up because you don't send or take anything to that appointment (outside of the appointment letter and passport of course).

As you are sending an I-130 (I assume given you are in this forum) you send photos etc with that application. You need to send some proof of your relationship. Then further evidence you take to your interview.

Okay your post is very confusing. I'm assuming (again as you haven't said) that you are filing the I-130 and I-485 packet together. You need a FULL medical completed and sent with your packet. There's also a lot of other required documents (birth certificates for USC and immigrant, G-325A's for both, passport photos etc etc).

Also, it is obvious you have not read the guides here or the form instructions. There is only ONE office to send your I-485 packet, Chicago.

:guides: Please also extend on your story and don't send anything yet. It definitely appears that you don't know what you're doing (no offence) and we wouldn't want you to mess up. Please also be aware of the new fees that came into effect on 23 Nov. AOS is now $1070, and the I-130 is $420. You are sending these at the same time if you are filing AOS from within the US. You can pay with one cheque or two.

**Edit - from your previous post here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/284655-married-on-tourist-visa/ you STILL have not said whether she arrived on a visa, or using the VWP. This is VERY important. Also according to that post you are not aware that you also need to file the I-130 with the I-485. PLEASE read the guide here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2 PLEASE also let us know if she arrived on the VWP. If she did and USCIS does not process her file (that means enter it into the system, not just get it in the mail) before her I-94 expires, the it is highly unlikely her AOS will be approved. She is given no right to appeal and she will be deported if she does not leave. You REALLY need to consider having her leave (if she arrived on the VWP) and filing for a CR-1 visa.

Hi, I'll try to expand on my story. She entered on a VWP. Her 90 days are almost up. She decided she wants to stay,

so now we're rushing around trying to find the right paperwork to fill out and have everything in on time. The one thing i cant seemt to wrap my head around is what exact forms to fill out asap. It's frustrating for us as well as posters reading this im sure. From what i understand i must fill out the I-130/I-485/I-765/I-693. But

the thing i have a hard time understand is, its seems like various people on this board have sent in the I-693(Bio-medical) after the send in their I-130/I-485 forms or have received an acceptance letter for those form. So what forms must be sent to the chicago office? There's several Civil Surgeons in my town luckily, so i'll be able to make an appoitment for tomorrow, but getting the results back will put her in overstay on the VWP. Which accoring to several on this board wont be an issue as long as she stays out of trouble.

-thanx again!

There have been a number of problems recently with VWP entrants who have attempted to adjust status from within the US after their 90 days are up. Some of them have been denied and deported, some have been placed on hold. You really, really need to read all the guides, then print the forms and read the instructions, then read the guides again. It might be possible to send all the paperwork, photos, evidence, birth certificates, marriage certificate, etc. and have it processed prior to the expiration of her authorized stay but you are cutting it really, really close.

There is no appeal process on the VWP, if the AOS is denied she will be "deported" either voluntarily or involuntarily. This will mean the CR-1 process will have to be started and additionally a I-212 waiver approved for the deportation.

Then again you might get lucky and fly through with no problems.
