Nab 'harsh' is not the word for this law. And 'culture' seems to be the easiest dodge, after blanket accusations of bigotry (a VJ favorite) to cover up the fact that on today's world most predominantly Muslim countries seem to suffer from bad 'cultures' somehow illogically distanced from their dominant religion.

Allowing Christianity in Pakistan, along with other religions, but having and enforcing a death for blaspheme of Islam law on the books doesn't make Pakistan look modern, good, or tolerant. This is not 2010 BC after all. My calendar indicates it is 2010 AD.

nor is it american soil but for some reason people want to apply american laws, constitution, etc to it. Pakistan has it's own laws, it's own constitution.

you need to do your homework on what muslims have contributed to the world.

Its not so much muslims as modern Islamic nations. The ironic thing is that from the 800s to the 1500s they (it? the empire?) were leading the curve scientifically.

Super Duper here. I am in God forsaken Chicago though and about to head to the middle of nowhere Georgia. Soon I will be heading back to my babe so she can do the things that make me happy. Glad to hear you are a tad more cheery. I will also say a prayer for that approval for y'all.

america was a leader in industry for awhile, now what do we produce... (for the most part) overpriced products if produced here; welfare recipients or just people in general who feel 'someone' (the govt? which is us!) 'owes' them; disrespectful/rude/mean institutionalized children, who end up filling the next 'institution' america is producing so many of = prisons (how many states do we have now where tourism and prisons are their main sources of income); foods contaminated with ecoli (do other countries look at us and say "wow, dont those dirty people know you should wash your hands after you poo?!"); hollywood 'heros' who are drunks/druggies/adulterers; we produce the most serial killers in the world....

now that we're done tearing apart the nations (which is worthless waste of time) how about working toward a solution... ask yourself how you personally can make a difference. find the causes most important to you and work toward helping make a change. that's only answer/solution i have so far.

I am doing my part. I married a babe and now have two more babes hooked up with friends and figure on getting them out of their Commie backward country one by one. Once here I brainwash their fragile minds to think like me politically.
