if it is in the language native to the country/consulate then not required. Also many passports are of th international standards and have the native/official language of the country and followed by english.

As Ricardo stated, it should not be necessary. I have never heard of these pages being translated. As for who could translate them, any certified translator can do it. Just do an internet search and for the translation language you desire and you will find many. Personally, all of my translations were done locally by a certified translator and notary public.

It does say that it is not necessary to translate if it's in the native language however, this is Morocco. I would definitely get it translated because you know if you don't they're going to request it.

I remember that Casa put out a list of certified translators by city. I would recommend that you e-mail them for that list.

Adam2 what step are you doing now, did you get your approval and what is your NOA1 date ?

No, it's not needed. If the beneficiary has a new passport (and they should), the info page is in three languages- Arabic, French, and English. I've seen my husband's enough to know, and we didn't need a translation for it.

I called the NVC twice to validate if documents written in Arabic needed translated into English and was told to get my husband's civil Arabic documents translated into English. Since Morocco uses both French and Arabic in their government processes,the peference is French. Some will argue you do not need it, but I prefer to play it safe. You can call the NVC and you may get opposing positions on this, but remember that Morocco is a difficult Consulate. You can get a reasonable English translation in Morocco. My husband is getting his civil documents/passport translated just to save us time in case it is requested. I know that the NVC website states that no translation is needed if your documents are in the offical language of the consulate, but I prefer to play it safe. I wish you success in your process.

The Official language being French so if it's in ANY other language that is not the official then yes a translation to EnglisH is necessary.

The passport is in English. It's an unnecessary cost and a waste of time. Tell them to look on the passport. It's in 3 languages.

My husnad's passport is not in three languauges. They have recently changed their passport/morocciam ID requirements.

You're right, only the new ones are.. but I would think that someone about to make an overseas journey would want to renew and get a new passport before they do, so they don't have to deal with the Moroccan Consulate for a few years.. That's besides the fact that the old passports will be deemed invalid by 2012, according to the passport office my husband got mine at.. Just something to think about..
