Hi,

I, Francesca, (petitioner) sent in Lobo's (beneficiary) K-1 visa petition this summer, and received the NOA 1 on July 12th 2010. Anyone else still waiting from July 2010..??? It will be 5 months Dec. 12th. Isn't this a little long?? My service center is California and Lobo's country is Brazil....do these have anything to do with the wait time?? Also, we did not use a lawyer, I did everything myself.

Thanks for any advice, guidance, and comments....

Francesca

Look at Igor's List to see the NOA1 dates of people who have been approved and are still waiting:

It looks like California SC hasn't gotten much further past July 14 so I wouldn't worry too much yet. They've been approving tons of people lately so I'm sure you'll be approved soon.

I too applied on July 16th and my fiance lives in Vietnam. If it goes past 5 months is there anything I can do?

have your congressman involved.His/her office should have an immigration department that can help you out.

My NOA1 is July 16th, yesterday I checked my case status on the uscis.gov website and my "last updated" date had changed from 7/22/2010 to 11/29/2010. There is hope...and hopefully that change for me yesterday was an approval. I'll even take an RFE at this point, just something in the form of movement w/my case.

As long as you have all the papers they asked I don't see any reason they will give you an REF. CSC moving fast lately so just hang on a but long. You will see the NOA2 soon.
