Hello Everyone! I would like to ask help regarding this contractual full time job of my fiance. He said its a stable job still, is he right about this? Will this "contractual" full time job written in the employment letter will be a problem for me of getting a visa as to it might let the Consul officer think that i will be a public charge even if he earns above the poverty guideline because it is contractual?

My fiance told me not to worry contractual word has to be included in the employment letter so that they will know the reason why pay check stubs has only partial deductions or no deductions at all because it is him who will pay all the mandatory insurances at the end of the year and not the company he is working with..Is this right?

please help anyone who has idea about this contractual job please help me... Thank you so much ..

Income is income. If it can be documented and it is legal it really doesn't matter the status of his relationship with his employer and/or clients. A person can be self employed, have NO deductions taken and still qualify to sponsor someone for a visa. In fact, it is not even necessary to have a job of any sort if one has other forms of income (investments, etc.) or enough assets. Your fiance is right in that it is nothing for you to worry about. He has income and he has a way to verify it. Do not worry.

It is clear you are not familiar with the procedures (there are no "mandatory insurances" for example) and are probably not getting correct information from someone. NO employer pays taxes for anyone, ALL individuals pay taxes. Employers in certain classifications withhold a portion of people's income and deposit it with the IRS to cover taxes to be paid in the future. This is YOUR money, not the employers money and it is merely payment of YOUR taxes with YOUR money in advance. Certain classifications of "employment" do not require this and that has nothing to do with whether one has "income" or not.
