I am an F 1 Student on OPT this year. It expires in July of 2011. I am unmarried and pregnant. My baby is due in the first week of January 2011. Is there any way for me to legally live and/or work in the US with the baby after my OPT expires? I know I have the option of enrolling in a school in fall 2011, but that would bring financial difficulties as I will be paying for school and will not be eligible to work. Plus with the baby there are a lot of expenses involved. The father of the baby is not involved at all.

I have been reading about anchor babies but what I have read so far only concerns illegal immigrants. I am a legal alien in the US and have always maintained my status.

I will appreciate any help regarding this!

Thanks

Nope, does nothing for your non-immigrant status, not until said unborn child will reach the age of 21.
