lins interview is supposed to be on the 7th of december, we are here in guangzhou now and were told by mrs yang that they have changed how they do the interview now, she said they actually take your documents the day of the scheduled interview and then do the interview the next day. anyone else heards of this

Yes, that's correct. They've changed the process so that you go on the date on the letter for fingerprinting, document submission, etc. Then you return the next morning for the interview. :thumbs: Fun.

Changes to Immigrant Visa Processing

As of Monday, December 6, 2010, Immigrant Visa (IV) applicants processing at Guangzhou will be required to go to the Consular Office at 12:30pm on the date specified on the appointment letter for fingerprint and document intake. The applicant(s) will then be required to return the following morning at 7:30am for their interview.

2011-01-18 Received I-512L AP documents! (postmrkd 1/12)

They also discontinued American Citizen Hour as of 11-15-2010. Looks like lot's their making some changes at the Embassy.

it is like that in USEM in Colombia but for some type of visas, not the CR-IR though!! good luck!! :thumbs:

thanks for the info nice of them to tell everyone about it huh? their website is not the easiest thing to find out things on either
