I'm getting everything together for my interview, and just have a quick question on one of the items on the checklist I was given to prepare.

The items says: "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status."

I entered on a K1 Visa, is this my documentation? Is it the marriage Certificate (even though that's asked for later)?

Any light you can shed would be super helpful!

It's anything you show to prove that you are worthy of LPR status. That's obviously your marriage cert BUT if its' a fake marriage then you're not eligible so it's evidence of the marriage being legitimate.

You're applying for LPR based on your marriage, so you need to prove your marriage is legitimate and not for immigration purposes.

Don't worry. It is not as complicated as it sounds :-P We had our interview just a few weeks ago. We had his passport, K1, I94 (his was stapled to his passport), his SSN card, his Employment Authorization Document, his birth certificate, my birth certificate and ID, our marriage certificate, our son's birth certificate, a letter from our landlord/my grandmother saying we live together, a joint bank account statement with our names on it, and a copy of everything we had already sent it. That did it. We were already approved.

I am assuming if either of you have previous marriages, proving that you are eligible might include showing a divorce decree too...

Oooh good, so it's basically all the stuff they ask for again later, I was just worried it meant something other then relationship proof. Thank you!
