if the mother is a LPR, the child doesn't qualify for a AOS in country. only children under 21 of a USC who entered the country legally. Unless the child has a student visa? if so, will it last over a year? If the child only entered the country with a tourist visa, then the child does not qualify.

please explain how the child is in the country?

how old is the child, when can she become a USC?

Being the mother only a LPR, she cannot file the i485 concurrently, she can only file the i130.

if she files now, she can only file the i130 and the child will go through consular processing? the child would need to leave the country before his or her 18th birthday to not trigger the 10 year ban.
