The 5 month processing time is a goal for USCIS, not a guaranteed timeframe. You can receive your NOA2 well after 5 months, some people wait 10+ months.

And the timeframe just MAY depend on WHERE the beneficiary is coming from.....!:whistle:

We are touchy, sensitive, and even crazy because we are in love and been separated with our dear ones and separated not because of our good will. I know it's the process and it should be a fair process but i feel like a prisoner because all I am aloud to do is to think.

Yea, I'm in the same boat. I just figure that when things are so down for me, the best thing I can do is reach out to encouraging groups of people that share my experiences... I find that when I get wrapped up in snarky groups (not saying anyone in particular, this is a general statement!), it makes the situation worse for me.

I'll just be here, handing out guys Kleenex when we all break down over the holidays because we miss our loved ones. :)

I wasn't trying to be rude at all. I just don't want to sugarcoat anything for anyone. It is actually better to expect a longer wait, because when it comes sooner it will be that much better. I wish us ALL a speedy journey and seriously hope that NOBODY has to wait so long. Good luck to all of you!

Agreed. I'm just hugging my cell phone with the hopes I'll get a text soon. Though... I'm only 2 months and 2 weeks into the wait. :( Though, an Immigration Officer at the CSC told me to call them again if I didn't "hear anything within a month"... so here's to hoping that ALL Service Centers are picking up steam!
