My wife will interview at the U.S. Embassy of Manila in just a few days for CR1 and is wondering if she will have all the necessary documents on hand. Does anyone have a check list for what she will need to bring with her? We will greatly appreciate your input.

Thank You & God Bless All in Jesus Name

Dan,

Try this link:

http://www.visajourn...on_Requirements

It'll link you to the packet 4 for Manila.

Also be sure she has a copy of everything either of you has sent to USCIS or NVC(orignials of certified/official documents). Also pictures, receipts, etc.(anything that documents that you were there and did things together) from every visit you made to her. Anything that might be able to prove your relationship, it's much better to be over-prepared than under-prepared. Also, be sure she gets a CENOMAR from the NSO...YES, I know she's married and a Certificate of No Marriage doesn't really make sense...get it anyway. What she will actually get is a CEMAR which lists all marriages she's ever contracted. From my reading in the forums here, this is often asked for and not on hand. You can see a sample of a CEMAR/CENOMAR in the above link.

Also, not interview related, but make sure she attends (if she hasn't already) the CFO Guidance and Counseling seminar and gets the CFO sticker placed in her passport.

Good fortune with the interview and your wife's travels.

George

One thing though I don't think she will not get the CFO sticker in passport until she has the visa in hand to show the CFO which is how my wife was told earlier this year.

The CFO is not associated with the US visa in the way your describing, this is a PI requirement! One can take and complete the seminar with out the visa at hand. If with out the visa he/she will need to go back and acquire the stamp/sticker after, he/she receives the visa before they exit the PI.

Yes m wife has had her CFO for months now. She will only need her stamp which will be issued after the Visa is approved. We were just wondering what additional documents se migt need to bring wit her just in case they misplace some of the documents we have already submitted.

i'm a DCF filer in Manila.

The instructions they sent me said I needed I-864. I read that link from the embassy on what forms to bring and in the section where it lists the different I-864 documents, it also says

"Notarized Confirmation of Job Offer and Salary for employment–based applicants should be on the stationery of the employer’s business organization and it must have been issued less than one year prior to the visa application."

Do I need this if I have the full I-864 with last 3 years taxes??
