I need to get ahold of the consulate so they can give me my waybills number to track my visa on DHL. I wasn't given a number at my interview on Tuesday. I've found these two phone numbers for the consulate, but I'm not sure if one of those is the one I should call, or perhaps there's another one? (514)398-9695 (514)400-2591

Even if you did get a hold of them, they do not give out the waybill numbers.. The DHL will call you when they receive your package and give you the dhl number to pick it up OR you can keep trying dhl.ca

Yes.. Im not sure why montreal has a phone number.. its just a robophone telling you stuff you already know. Sorry :(

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

So if DHL will call me with a waybill number, couldn't I just call them first (and repeatedly :P )and find out if my visa is ready? I mean if I gave them my name or something?

I believe Jadenjewel called the DHL number and the looked her up via her passport Number/Name and found that it was there. DHL will not always call but they did in my case.

I think you can call DOS the number is 2026631225 press 1 then 0 then 0 and see if your visa has been printed etc. (I am not sure But I used the search button for Ideas)

I would keep checking online too :)

yup those are the right numbers, but no one picks up at the consulate. and the canada visa info line won't give out DHL waybill number.

tried calling DHL twice last week and they won't give out waybill number and they're not able to do a search under name or passport number or anything, and they won't let you talk to the branch directly to ask either. (despite 2 half hour conversations).

good luck!

tim/erin wouldn't worry. still probably needs a few more days.

I can't tell you how heartwarming it is to have people like the members of VJ who jump right in to help those of us who have questions, or who just need reassurance that things are on track. I'd like to thank all of you. (L)

You can call the US Consulate near you, and they can look up to see if it's been shipped. The numbers given to me are:

Calgary - 403.800.1194

Halifax - 902.982.2191

Montreal - 514.400.2591

Ottawa - 613.800.0917

Toronto - 647.955.3736

Vancouver - 604.800.2794

Quebec City - 418.800.1751

I tried calling DHL directly but they said they couldn't track anything without the waybill number (which I believe begins with "S").

Good luck!
