well my mom does live at the same address and her income is 14,000.00 a year and mine is 20,800.00 per year...do you think this will satisfy the interview guy in guanzhou...my wife had her interview already and this seems to be the only thing holding up the visa..any advise is welcomed..thanks...hoopy

If you and your mother live at the same address, you would combine your income but the household size would go up by at least one. (Only one if your mother is not married and has no children under 21.) If the household size is three, then you'll have plenty of income to meet the minimum in the guideline but it is still the Consular officer's decision.

As pushb said, you're good now. I strongly feel you are all set. But, final decision is the CO's.

You file an updated I-864 and mother will file I-864A, combine both income, make sure revised household size and submit to the CO.

Hoopy,

Senator cannot help you to qualify the sponsorship for Affidavit of Support. You and/or Joint sponsor need to overcome this situation.
