Long time since packet #3 was received. She's been working and hasn't been able to get away until after moon festival. Went back to get the houku, then started to return after documents were completed. Midway back found out her mother was in the hospital for some sugrey and has returned to be with her. Sent the Packet #3 response back on 11/18/10.

Maybe I'm geting ahead of myself, but I'd like her POE to be Chicago. Looks like a lot of flights have changes in Seattle, San Fransico and Los Angeles. Where would the POE be, Chicago, ult6imate destination or first location in the US where all other flights would be domestic?

The POE will be the first place on US soil where the plane touches down. If she lands in Los Angeles and has a connecting flight to Chicago, the POE will be LA. If she is able to get a direct flight to Chicago, then POE will be Chicago. The only real variation from this would be if she gets a flight that connects in Canada for the US, then interestingly enough, the City where the flight departs from Canada would be considered her POE since US Immigration is located in the Canadian International airports eg. Toronto to Chicago - the POE would be Toronto even though it is not on US soil.

The POE will be the first city she lands in, her packet will be opened and processed at that time. Be sure to allow plenty of time between this and the next connecting flight. Depending on the airport and the number of international flights arriving at around the same time you may want to give her at least 3 hours to allow for processing and transferring to the domestic flight terminal, etc.
