Hello all,

I filed my wife's AOS package on 03 Sep 10, the case was trasfered to th CSC on 14 Oct 10. It has been over 80 days since we filed and we have not yet received the biometrics appointment. I wonder what is taking the Dallas Service Center so long? I made several phone calls to the USCIS 1800 number, but nothing has been done about it. This is getting pretty rediculous. I keep seeing other cases where the biometris appointments are sent within a month or so. My good frined from washington filed on 3 nov and already received his biometricvs appointment. Does anyone know why Dallas is taking so long? Is there anything i can do? any assistance is appreciated. Thank you :help::help:

I believe AandB waited a very long time for her bio letter, and if I remember correctly, she dealt with the Dallas center. I think she actually drove there to request a letter.

You should try to contact her, she is super nice, and I'm sure she'll be willing to help you out since she was in the same situation.

Good luck!

Hello VJers,

As I posted before, I have been waiting for my biometrics appointment for a long long time--95 days to be exact.

On 15 Nov, i called the USCIS 1800 number and a service request was generated. I was told that I should hear something with 30 days. Today i received an email stating the following:

The status of this service request is:

On 11/15/2010 you, or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

My personal information-----

After my personal information, the below information followed:

On 11/15/2010 you or your representative called our office concerning your application or petition. After careful review of your request, it has been determined that your issues will be best addressed by the USCIS office having jurisdiction over your case. Therefore, we have taken the liberty of forwarding your service request, number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to the California Service Center.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I have no idea what this could be, did anyone here go through the same situation, or does anyone know if this could be a good thing or bad thing. My case was transfered to the CSC on 14 Oct. Thank you in advance

GOOD NEWS,

Thank you all for your advice, as i was getting my wife ready to go to the Dallas Service Center, I received an email from the CSC, saying that they received a service request and after they review my case, a biometrics appointment letter was sent today (07 Dec 10) YESSSSSSSS :D:D:no: ....so, after 95 days, our bio letter will finally arrive. The Bio appointment is for 27 Dec 10, but I will have my wife do a "walk-in Biometrics" I wish i could with her, but i work in Iraq, and will not be able to make it.

Thank you all for your advice...Since my case has been sitting at the CSC since 14 Oct, i hope the GC and EAD will be approved very soon.....let's hope...

Hi Manny&G,

Was your walk-in successful? I received the letter after 74 days after mailing and the appointment is early April. I was hoping to get my bio done today, but the gentlemen there (he may be the supervisor) refused an early walk-in....

I have to wait more than 3 weeks now....

I guess i am not the only one in this situation mine took over 3 months before i got a letter for biometrics but when i went to ASC Dallas i knew why there was so much delay in total i counted about 4 staffs not making this up 1 at the desk 2 ladies doing the actual fingerprinting and photo and 1 guy i guess he is the guard or something.

Yes the dallas center is slow, and you cannot do a walkin. However once you do the biometrics, your EAD should soon follow, mine arrived 10 days after. Now, I am looking for a job! Fingers crossed.
