I don't know when you would have told anyone what your POE was anyways. You can enter the US anywhere you like.

the embassy asked me to let them know a city as POE..and I told them my POE will be NY...now I got the visa and all document...

can I change my POE now? is it possible?

Never heard before that they ask the POE at the interview. You could reasonably not even know it yet, since they expressly tell you to not make any travel arrangements until you have your visa in hand.

NO ASSURANCE THAT VISA WILL BE ISSUED: No assurance can be given in advance that a visa will be issued. A consular officer can make a decision only after your visa application and all documents are reviewed, and you have been personally interviewed. You are advised not to make any travel arrangements, and not to dispose of your property or give up your job until the visa has been issued. If your visa application is refused, you will be given a refusal sheet that will indicate the basis for your refusal. If applicable, it will tell you what actions you could take to overcome the refusal. The visas are affixed inside each passport and the applicant is given a sealed envelope which should be hand carried, UNOPENED, to the United States and submitted to the immigration inspector at the U.S. port-of-entry

It doesn't matter. Look at your Visa....does it mention the POE anywhere on it? Do you have ANY kind of paperwork, letters, or forms from the consulate, NVC, etc. stating that your POE is a particular location? I would guess not.

What's the point of asking for advice and then arguing against what you wanted to hear? I'm assuming that you actually WANT to use another POE rather than NEW YORK. BTW, exactly what POE in New York would that be? I hear that they have several.

Are you sure they asked you about your next POE and not about any previous POEs? Really I don't see how they could ask about that at least for a couple of reasons:

- Border protection is a federal matter, therefore entering in NY or LA or Chicago or Phoenix is exactly the same in terms of immigration;

- they expressly tell you not to make any travel arrangements until the visa is issued, so they cannot expect you to know. Had they asked me back then, I would have said I didn't know, because I bought my flight way after I received my visa, and the only thing I looked at was the price of the flight, not the POE.
